Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is being blasted online for sharing a photo of Russia despite America’s support for Ukraine.
Last month, Kennedy Jr. posted a campaign tweet that included a model in campaign merchandise in front of what appeared to be shopfronts with Russian writing.

“LOL did RFK Jr actually post a picture of someone in Russia wearing a Kennedy 2024 sweater, and say ‘Let’s unite America’? It appears he did,” Twitter user @Noahpinion wrote of the presidential hopeful’s mistake.
While the now-deleted social media image indicates little about his feelings about the country, it does appear that the image featured in his campaign advertisement was taken in Russia.
The image looks to be based on a mock-up that internet stores use to display their inventory. It is one of several images provided by Dikarte Media that have been used by online shops all over the world.
Kennedy is an up-and-coming Democratic candidate who could potentially go against President Joe Biden. Last month, lines of people were spotted waiting to watch him speak in Biden’s home state of New Hampshire.
Speaking at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, he discussed peace and diplomacy during the time of the Russia-Ukraine war.
“I abhor Russia’s brutal and bloody invasion of that nation. But we must understand that our government has also contributed to its circumstances with repeated, deliberate provocations of Russia going back to the 1990s,” Kennedy Jr. said, adding that “America has broken off practically all diplomatic contact with Russia, so the communication has indeed become a little more than an exchange of threats and insults.”
Following his speech, local media asked attendees what they thought of Kennedy and whether he could beat President Joe Biden in the 2024 Democratic Party presidential primaries.
“He speaks a lot of truth, and he’s a very personable human being,” said Mike Sweeney from Albany, adding that Kennedy can topple Biden “one hundred percent. We wouldn’t be here otherwise. People have eyes, and things are so far off the rails that I think just being real is going to be the thing that gets through.”
