Ramaswamy Floats Willingness To Pardon Hunter Biden

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican running for presidential position, stated that if he were elected to the White House, the pardon of Hunter Biden would be a possibility.

The Congress is currently investigating President Joe Biden’s son for his influence-peddling allegations and questionable business dealings, including the plea with his father to assist foreign business connections when he was the Vice President.

Ramaswamy promised to dissolve the FBI and “refurbish” the Department of Justice. He also guaranteed pardon to those individuals who are wrongfully punished for political purposes by the said department, including President Trump and the January 6 protesters.

He also told the New York Post that he would be open to considering pardons for members of the Biden family to bring the country forward.

To defend his position, he said that he wanted to see a unified America and “national renewal rather than a national divorce.”

The GOP candidate made his remarks days after Merrick Garland, the attorney general, confirmed the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the affairs of Hunter Biden. Garland also added that the Biden investigation, including other matters that emerged or may emerge, will be handled by US Attorney David Weiss.

According to an IRS and FBI whistleblower, Weiss claimed he could have filed charges against Hunter Biden. However, he was prevented from doing so by unidentified forces in Washington, DC.

Hunter Biden faces numerous challenges, especially after a judge invalidated a plea agreement he agreed with prosecutors for tax and gun possession charges. He was able to enter a pre-trial diversion program for a felony gun charge and avoid jail time by pleading guilty to two federal misdemeanor tax offenses, as reported by Weiss’ office, which announced in June.

Judge Maryellen Noreika of the US District rejected the settlement and ordered the attorneys to start over. On August 18, Judge Noreika granted the request of the prosecution to dismiss the tax charges in Delaware so that the investigation would be continued and new charges could be brought in Washington, DC.
