Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy blasted the Republican National Committee (RNC) over its multiple failures.
During Wednesday’s presidential debate, Ramaswamy called out the RNC for presiding over a “party of losers” and cited the fact that left-leaning network NBC was allowed to host the debate, proving that the GOP’s leadership is out of touch with its voters.
I’m sick and tired of this Republican Establishment that has made us a party of losers. Where is the accountability for years of losing: 2018, 2020, 2022 and now last night? I’m calling on @GOPChairwoman to resign tonight. pic.twitter.com/8hxVqWGlwL

“We’ve become a party of losers at the end of the day. Is it cancer? The Republican establishment, let’s speak the truth,” the biotech entrepreneur said. “I mean, since Ronna McDaniel took over as chairwoman of the RNC in 2017, we have lost 2018, 2020, 2022. No red wave ever came. We got trounced last night in 2023. And I think that we have to have accountability in our party for that matter,” he said.
The billionaire entrepreneur then accused “Meet the Press” host Kristin Welker of pushing former President Donald Trump’s Russian collusion narrative.
“Think about who’s moderating this debate,” Ramaswamy continued. “This should be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk. We’d have ten times the viewership. Asking questions that GOP primary voters actually care and bringing more people into our party.”
“This is actually about you in the media and the corrupt media establishment; [I] ask you,: the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that you pushed on this network for years. Was that real? Or was that Hilary Clinton made up disinformation?” he asked the audience, which followed thunderous applause.
The 38-year-old biotechnology businessman is the youngest candidate in the Republican presidential primary race and argued his age actually helps him reach members of Generation Z. Ramaswamy claimed that he contemplated running now rather than waiting 20 years when his sons are older because he doesn’t think “we have 20 years left as a country.”
This comes as new polls show that Ramaswamy is the closest rival to former President Donald Trump, who has a 47-point lead over the 38-year-old presidential candidate.
Ramaswamy has also surpassed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 13 percent to DeSantis’ 8 percent, a stunning development from just a few months ago when the governor led the now-dark horse candidate by 14 percent to 3 percent.
