There were years of searching but no answers after Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing about 10 years ago. But it’s possible that the search will begin again.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says that the search for the plane could start up again. “There must be strong proof that it needs to be reopened,” Ibrahim said. “We will be happy to reopen it.”
“I don’t think it’s a technical issue,” he said next. Everything that needs to be done must be done because it affects people’s lives.
Malaysian Flight MH370 went missing over the Indian Ocean on March 8, 2014. There were 239 people on board as well. Boeing 777 planes were on board the flight, which went missing over the Indian Ocean. The search was the biggest in the history of flight, and it went on until January 2017, when it stopped.
Around 500 family members of the plane passengers got together on Sunday, as the 10th anniversary got closer, to support each other on “Remembrance Day.”
After the event in 2014, family members of passengers talked about how they felt. Grace Nathan lost their mother, Anne Daisy when the Malaysia flight went missing. Nathan stated, “The last 10 years have been a nonstop emotional rollercoaster for me.”
Malaysia’s Transport Minister Anthony Loke said, “Malaysia is worried and wants to find the plane.” “We are now waiting for them to give us good dates,” he said. “I hope to meet them soon.”
Other search groups, like Ocean Infinity, sent the Malaysian government ideas on how to start the search all over again. Ocean Infinity stated it was “focused on driving the transformation of operations at sea; innovating with technology and robotics to further advance our ocean search capabilities.”
