Nestle Makes a Food Line for People Who Use Weight Loss Drugs

Nestle just said that they are going to release a new line of goods for people who take Ozempic or other weight loss drugs. The market is expected to grow and become worth $30 billion in the next six years. Nestle wants to make the most of this growth.

For its first twelve goods, the new brand Vital Pursuit plans to offer frozen protein pasta, pizzas, and sandwich melts, among other things. The main thing that makes these goods different is that they have more protein and nutrients like iron, potassium, and vitamin A. These things will also be divided up in a way that is good for people who are on weight-loss drugs.

“As the number of people taking weight loss drugs continues to rise, we see a chance to serve those customers,” said Steve Presley, CEO of Nestlé North America.

This is the first time a company has made goods just for people who use glucagon-like peptides. The medicine is mostly for people with Type 2 Diabetes and is necessary to better control blood sugar. It can also help people lose weight. Semaglutide is what makes Ozempic and other weight-loss drugs work.

Many companies are paying attention to these weight loss drugs because they are so popular. This is because people have changed the way they shop for food, which is what led Nestle to make this brand just for people who are trying to lose weight.

Novo Nordisk said that more than 20,000 Americans sign up for VW every week, and that number is likely to keep going up. Nine percent of Americans will likely be taking weight loss drugs by the end of the decade.
