A man caught stealing a woman’s purse during a Manhattan subway attack is on the New York Police District’s priority list.
The incident happened at the West 163rd Street station in Washington Heights at 6 P.M. as suggested by the surveillance video.

As seen in the video, the male suspect intimidated the victim, a woman aged 43 years old, with a knife. He was also seen trying to take the victim’s phone. The two engaged in a brief struggle before the man settled to grab the victim’s purse instead and ran away, according to the police report.
The victim was not injured during the incident. Her purse was later recovered around the vicinity but the money and valuable contents inside are already gone.
