NYC Man Attacks Bus Driver With Tree Branch Among Crime Surge

ACCORDING TO REPORTS, an MTA bus driver was allegedly attacked with a tree branch on Wednesday by a New York City man. Police said a 39-year-old man shot the MTA bus driver’s right arm with a tree branch after exiting the vehicle and grabbing the harmless weapon.

After hurling a tree branch at her, he left the area. It is believed the culprit is a 30- to a 40-year-old man with black and white facial hair. There were no injuries to the driver. According to New York Post, the MTA issued a statement condemning the incident as “unprovoked and unacceptable.”

In the statement, they said, “MTA bus operators are part of the lifeblood of this city and should never have to work while fearing for their safety and the safety of their passengers. This attack was unprovoked and unacceptable, and the MTA will work with the NYPD to identify the attacker and bring them to justice.”

Reports said that the suspect was wearing a brown sweatshirt, light blue trousers, and black shoes when he was last spotted.
