Video Shows Russian Armored Convoy Caught In Ambush On Way To Kyiv

One of Moscow’s tanks was destroyed in an ambush by the Ukrainians as the Russians suffered another setback in their efforts to seize the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

T-72 tanks and other Russian vehicles were annihilated in the surprise attack from the flanks and rear of the convoy while the Red Army was still advancing into the city yesterday night.

On Thursday, the Ukrainian military broadcast dramatic drone footage of Russian tanks being blown up in an ambush as they approached the capital.

The Video

According to the Times of London, Ukraine’s defenders appear to be employing artillery or explosives to destroy several tanks and other armored vehicles.

Analysts reported that one of the vehicles ambushed included a thermobaric rocket launcher.

ON WEDNESDAY, the U.K. Ministry of Defense said that Russia acknowledged employing “vacuum bombs” in Ukraine.

This mobile rocket-launching device is often outfitted with thermobaric warheads, which suck up the air surrounding targets and can cause lungs to burst. According to the British agency, Russia has admitted that it has deployed this system.

When asked by reporters if the thermobaric launchers had been utilized, authorities from the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv said, “we don’t know.”

According to the Times of London, the tape purportedly showed more than 35 Russian tanks and armored vehicles attempting to advance onto Brovary, a Kyiv suburb in the east.

The single-file convoy is shown pausing following an explosion in the road and then attempting to flee after being hit.

As per military expert Justin Crump from Sibylline, there was a thermobaric “vacuum bomb” firing device in the column.

He relayed to the convoy, “This is part of the group that has hacked its way cross-country and is forming arguably the more dangerous thrust on Kyiv.”

Crump said they’d probably push for the dam north of the city.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov in Antalya, Turkey, for talks before a video of the attack was posted early Thursday.

According to Kuleba, little progress was made at the “tough” discussion on ending the 15-day conflict.

A Blow on Putin

A Russian soldier can be heard exclaiming, “Commander, the commander’s dead!” in the video released by the Ukrainian military.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, Colonel Andrei Zakharov was the slain Russian commander. In 2016, Vladimir Putin presented him with the Order of Courage, and the two appeared together in images.

These results are another win for Ukraine and a jab in the stomach for Russia’s tyrant.
