The Biden admin was slammed online for continuously deflecting criticism about the increasing inflation.
The National Economic Council senior advisor for communications Jesse Lee blasted Republican Florida Sen. Rick Scott of Florida on Tuesday and accused him of being in “lockstep” with Vladimir Putin, president of Russia over his criticism of Biden’s policies.
“Putin and @SenRickScott fully in lockstep in blaming Biden for Putin’s Price Hike. So surprising,” Lee tweeted.
Despite the Biden administration’s claim, blaming the meat conglomerates for the increasing inflation in the US, recent polls revealed that Biden and his policies are responsible for the inflation.
Moreover, White House press secretary Jen Psaki also blamed Putin for the price hike to deflect the criticism.
However, critics including Republicans say otherwise.
“This is embarrassing and shameful messaging coming from the White House. It’s time for President Biden and his advisors to start taking responsibility for their failed policies and out-of-control spending over the last 15 months,” Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina said.
“The Biden Administration says concern about inflation is being “fully in lockstep” with Putin. No wonder inflation keeps getting worse,” Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas added.
