The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating recent attacks on pregnancy centers as protests continue over the expected overturn of the controversial “Roe v. Wade” case.
“The FBI is investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country,” the FBI said in a statement on Friday. “The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and will remain vigilant to protect our communities.”

The bureau asked anyone who has information on the attacks or potential threats to alert law enforcement or call their local FBI field office.
This comes as the Supreme Court is poised to overturn “Roe v. Wade,” the controversial case that led to the proliferation of legalized abortion throughout the U.S.
Protests were held across the country after a draft opinion of the case was leaked last month, including a pro-choice group named “Ruth Sent Us” that gathered outside the homes of the justices.
On May 13, The Department of Homeland Security issued a warning to law enforcement authorities about a possible surge in political violence.
“We assess that the broader ideological spectrum of potential DVEs (domestic violent extremists) linked to recent abortion-related threats likely seek to target a range of individuals and entities,” the officials wrote in the memo.
“Historically, violent acts related to this issue were primarily committed by abortion-related violent extremists that opposed abortion rights. Going forward, grievances related to restricting abortion access could fuel violence by pro-choice abortion-related violent extremists and other DVEs,” it continued.
The letter also noted that Supreme Court police have noticed a major increase in social media threats of violence directed at the Supreme Court justices and the building.
Instead of putting a stop to the violent activities, however, Vice President Kamala Harris sided with the anarchists and directed the blame toward Republicans for “weaponizing” the issue.
“What is clear is that opponents of Roe want to punish women and take away their rights to make decisions about their own bodies,” she said in a statement. “Republican legislators in states across the country are weaponizing the use of the law against women.”
