Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has somehow transformed his state from the nation’s laughingstock, a swamp full of “Florida man” types and mosquitos often mocked online, into one of the country’s most prosperous states, humiliatingly the downtrodden residents of blue state hellholes.
At this point, he is going all out to retain the Governor’s mansion in Republican hands, batting away Democrat competitors trying to mobilize voters against him and the leadership that propelled his state to the top of the rankings.
DeSantis has done a great job, and every state ruled by the left has gone downhill recently, not only because of Covid but also because of releasing criminals from prison, handing out welfare checks that make it even more difficult for businesses to find employees, and decriminalizing drug use and homeless people camping on the streets, which has resulted in human waste and heroin needles covering the roads of once-great cities. That’s a tough sell for the Democrats.
Even yet, the Democrats are still attempting to get rid of DeSantis. So he’s preparing a fantastic commercial to prove his superiority to that group of lunatics and their stupid plans.
In the early half of his administration, the commercial shows letters from Floridians praising him for his efforts to keep the state free from Covid’s reign of terror. Lines like this can be found in those letters:
“We wouldn’t have been able to keep it open without your guidance.”
“My child has flourished during this epidemic because of you.”
“Monoclonal antibodies spared my mother’s life.”
“I’m delighted I could attend school even though I’m only eleven.”
However, DeSantis opted to broadcast the ad both in conventional media and online, which is unusual for a Republican candidate.
In the past several years, many people have cut their cable service because they were fed up with paying for a service they couldn’t use.
It’s also possible that he’s considering a 2024 candidacy despite the increasing likelihood that Trump will run, as seen by his choice to blast the ad online. No one can deny that DeSantis’ record in the Covid is superior to that of Trump’s, even though Trump remains the obvious GOP favorite (and with good reason: the man is terrific and an accomplished fighter).
Since no one can match DeSantis’ expertise in this area, it’s possible that he’s promoting the ad around the country digitally to remind voters of how well he performed on it and other topics in the lead-up to 2024 primary and election. If that is the case, DeSantis’ commercial does a lot to forward those intentions.
He may be trying to appear more pleasant than Trump, known for his abrasive demeanor.
Whatever the case, it’s always a hoot to recall DeSantis’ penchant for destroying the left.
