GOP Office Attacked in Central Florida

A GOP office in Florida was vandalized over the weekend by spraying paint on the front window, according to reports.

“Eat s— fascists,” read the spray-painted message on the entrance to the office of the Republican Party of Seminole County. The police report also said that glue was squirted into the front door lock.

A party spokesperson said the spray paint has since been cleaned up by volunteers and security has been improved.

“It’s a disgusting attack,” said Florida RNC Communications Director Julia Friedland. “This is a scary event for volunteers that, like I said, are just out here in the community trying to get the vote out, spread our Republican message.”

“We filed a police report hoping to get to the bottom of it. I think political discourse these days is definitely getting heated. People are getting very passionate, tensions are high,” Friedland continued.

The Seminole County Democratic Party Chair also expressed shock and disappointment over the vandalism.

“These are our neighbors,” said Lynn Moira Dictor. “While we may be across the aisle, they live across the street. We would never in any way, shape, or form approve of violence or hateful behavior.”

The Casselberry Police Department estimated the damage to the window and door lock at around $700.

This isn’t the first time liberals have defaced innocent-looking institutions. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the controversial “Roe v. Wade” case, a church in Texas was vandalized by pro-abortion protestors.

The words “Pro-Choice Is Pro-Life” was spray-painted on the main entrance and a side door of Houston’s Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

“It’s very unfortunate that people would desecrate the church like this, take their frustration out on the church,” said Father Peter Damian Harris.

Due to the vandalism, the church changed its operating hours. Now it will open 30 minutes before confession and mass and close immediately after. But the priest had a defiant message for the guilty party responsible for spray-painting graffiti on his church’s doors.

“I’d rather you come inside and pray and have a conversation and not try to desecrate our sacred space,” he said. “This won’t stop us. It propels us to continue to be witnesses for Christ in the world.”
