Trump Reveals The Biggest Threat Facing The US

Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the greatest threat facing the nation right now is nuclear war.

During an interview with radio host Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo, Trump said that the country is not prepared for a potential nuclear war following atomic threats from Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

“It’s a dangerous time in our country, not only for what’s happening inside with our crooked politicians, but very dangerous when they’re mentioning nuclear weapons on the outside,” Trump told Pagliarulo. “And we don’t have the people that know. We do not have the people that know how to handle it, or know what’s going on.”

This comes as the threat of nuclear war has risen dramatically after North Korea declared itself a nuclear power last month.

“As long as nuclear weapons exist on Earth, and imperialism and the anti-North Korean maneuvers of the US and its followers remain, our road to strengthening our nuclear force will never end,” Kim said.

Meanwhile, Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons against Russia’s enemies late last month, saying: “In the event of a threat to the territorial integrity of our country and to defend Russia and our people, we will certainly make use of all weapon systems available to us. This is not a bluff.”

President Joe Biden also echoed Trump’s comments when he said that the risk of “nuclear Armageddon” was at its highest level since 1962 during a Democratic fundraiser last Thursday.

“We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Biden said.

In the 1962 crisis, the United States and the Soviet Union came close to the use of nuclear weapons over the presence of Soviet missiles in Cuba.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said last Tuesday that the U.S. has seen no change in Russia’s nuclear forces that would require a change in the alert posture of U.S. nuclear forces.

“We have not seen any reason to adjust our own strategic nuclear posture, nor do we have indication that Russia is preparing to imminently use nuclear weapons,” Jean-Pierre said during a press briefing.
