Trump Sends Warning To Texas Voters

Former President Donald Trump warns Texas voters about the dangers of the southern border crisis ahead of the midterm elections.

Speaking at a rally in Robstown, Trump directed blame toward President Joe Biden for the massive influx of illegal immigrants in the country.

“Since the end of the Trump administration, the drug cartels have seen their revenues skyrocket by an astounding 2,500%. If they were a Wall Street company, their stock would be through the roof from $500 million to last year, $13 billion in one year,” the ex-president told the crowd.

“A lot of the crimes that we have — the robberies and all of the different things — they are caused by drugs,” said Trump. “You end that, you end the drug situation coming into your country. You’ll end 75-80% of the crime coming into America,” he continued.

According to the Customs and Border Protection, the number of migrant encounters this fiscal year has already reached over 2 million, breaching the already-historic 1.7 million encounters last year.

The U.S. has been seeing massive migrant numbers since the Biden administration announced that it would be lifting “Title 42,” a controversial border policy implemented by Trump back in March 2020 that allowed the border agency to turn migrants away.

Some officials in nearby border cities have also said that the swarm of illegal immigrants has already resulted in property damage, stolen vehicles, gun violence, and other issues resulting from migrants crossing into their counties, many of which are desolate and have sparse populations.

“In my community, we have less than 1,000 residents. The thousand residents everyday live in fear of the invasion,” said Terrell County Judge Dale Lynn Carruthers said in July. “We are doing the best we can with limited manpower. Terrell County has the least to offer but we have a lot of border coverage.”

While Biden continued to insist that the border is “closed,” a new poll conducted by left-wing media outlet NPR found that 54 percent of Americans believe the president has purposely created the crisis at the border and is doing nothing to stop it.

The survey also found that most Americans are blaming the open border for a sudden surge in deaths related to fentanyl, reporting: “It’s true that fentanyl overdose deaths are up in recent years, and that much of the U.S. fentanyl supply is smuggled through the border.”
