Supreme Court Says Government Can Enforce Airplane Mask Mandate

Even as pandemic restrictions have already been loosened, the Biden administration continues to press people to wear face masks on planes, trains, and other forms of transport.

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) can keep its draconian mask mandate on public transportation vehicles.

California lawyer Jonathan Corbett previously argued that the TSA did not have the right to mandate masks on airlines and surface transportation when it did so during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit sided with the TSA and insisted that the agency had the authority to maintain security and safety, such as imposing the mask mandate, within the transportation system.

The Supreme Court’s move leaves the rule in place, denying Corbett’s request to consider “the D.C. Circuit’s broad expansion of agency authority.”

In April, the TSA stopped enforcing a mask mandate after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mask mandate was struck down by a federal judge in Florida.

Despite the pandemic being already “over,” according to President Joe Biden himself, the White House is still pushing its draconian health restrictions.

Last month, the CDC voted last week to add the COVID-19 vaccine to next year’s childhood and adult immunization schedules.

Republican governors, such as Florida’s Ron DeSantis, have expressed their opposition to a potential mandated vaccine requirement for children.

“There’s been a lot of questions out to our office about the CDC—potentially adding Covid vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule,” DeSantis said. “And I know a lot of parents are concerned about that because if that’s on the immunization schedule, the fear is that schools could potentially mandate your child to get a COVID shot, even if that’s not something that you want to do.”

“So I just want to let everyone be clear. You know, as long as I’m around and as long as I’m kicking and screaming there will be no COVID shot mandates for your kids,” he continued. “That is your decision to make as a parent.”

While the vote would not make the shots mandatory, many right-wing personalities have made false claims that the vaccine would be required to attend school.
