A pastor in Atlanta, Georgia, said that the Spirit of God will arrest people who don’t vote for Democratic senatorial candidate Raphael Warnock.
Pastor William Murphy of “The Dream Center” recently invited Warnock to the church’s 2022 “Thankful” service, where he preached to churchgoers to vote for the Democratic hopeful in the upcoming Georgia Senate run-off.
That's the climax of a THIRTY-FIVE MINUTE interlude during worship yesterday.

“God would have us to mix worship and justice and politics. I’m decreeing and declaring that [folks] who had no intention on voting for Raphael Warnock … the Spirit of God is gonna arrest them,” Murphy said. “God’s about to cause a shift in this nation, in this world, through the election of Raphael Warnock. We’re about to praise him into the Senate!”
Warnock would then take the stage and sway the attendees further by saying that voting is a type of prayer.
“A vote is a kind of prayer. It recognizes that we pray not just with our lips but with our legs, so I’m asking you to pray,” he said. “Pray Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and then pray again next Tuesday.”
The reverend turned politician was introduced as a man who stands up for the “oppressed,” but his policies on abortion say otherwise. Warnock tweeted last year that he wanted to codify the controversial “Roe v. Wade” case into law.
This comes in the wake of Warnock’s own church, Ebenezer Baptist Church, facing a possible subpoena after failing to respond to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
On Oct. 12, the Secretary of State’s Securities and Charities Division demanded an explanation from the Ebenezer Building Foundation, a foundation operated by Warnock’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, of its charitable status within the state.
“The Division’s records indicate that Ebenezer Building Foundation, Inc […] is not registered as a charitable organization with the State of Georgia,” the Securities and Charities Division wrote in a letter.
“Accordingly, if Ebenezer Building Foundation is soliciting charitable contributions and operating as a charitable organization in the State of Georgia without an active registration or applicable exemption, it is in violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-17-5, and therefore, is subject to administrative penalties under O.C.G.A. § 43-17-13,” the letter continued.
A spokesman for the state charities division said that officials are currently deciding whether to subpoena the foundation if the state’s inquiries go unanswered.
