Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen made an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s leftist comedy Wednesday night to talk about her important work to improve her handwriting, letting it be known that the inflation was caused by Americans, who “squandered” on goods and technology during the pandemic.
Yes, inflation is your fault. He made no mention of the budget-destroying Inflation Reduction Act or America’s $1.9 trillion bailout. It’s all because smelly shoppers at Walmart wanted to buy a new grill:
She then went on to parrot his boss, President Biden, arguing that inflation was also Russia’s fault for starting the war in Ukraine and causing gasoline prices to skyrocket. Apparently, Yellen and Biden blamed everyone but themselves for the inflation rate, which hit a 40-year high in October. His appearance at Colbert, however, marks a new low, as it marks the first time they’ve blamed shut-in Americans who want new grills. (Remember, we were told the only way to interact with family and friends was outdoors, so the desire for a grill makes sense.)
Don't blame the Biden Admin printing trillions of dollars: @SecYellen tells @StephenAtHome the real reason inflation is out of control is because Americans are "splurging" on goods; "and, remember, Russia has conducted a brutal war against Ukraine" pic.twitter.com/d0xbhA7sbH

This is the same woman who assured us that inflation was “transient” and posed no great risk:
Yellen and Colbert then talked about her signature, which will appear on the money, and how she’s worked hard to improve it:
Funny, haha! So precious. I went to the supermarket last night and let me tell you. I wasn’t laughing when I saw the price of chicken. To me, politicians downplay their offices when attending late-night “comedy” shows, especially these days when most of them have become little more than propaganda weapons for the DNC. The Washington Times reports:
The study allegedly did not include Fox host Greg Gutfeld, whose Gutfeld! The show is rocking the ratings, or Tucker Carlson, who has more laughs in his late-night monologues than all the network’s comedians combined. Biden and Yellen have become masters at blaming others for their failures. For Christmas, I’d like to buy you some mirrors.
