Tragic images of a small dog rescued after being trapped in a designer shop window have gone viral.
Shoppers were left in disbelief after the puppy fell between large store windows and a sign on the first floor of the Miu Miu store on London’s prestigious Bond Street.
Passers-by watched in horror as staff rushed to the pup’s aid, who was thankfully saved by an employee who used a crutch to hook the dog to its harness.
The images have since spread across social networks, with clips racking up millions of views and a slew of comments.
Many derided the situation as a “fantastic emergency,” while others expressed their distress at the confrontational clips.
“I’d cry my eyes out,” said one dog lover.
“The way I would let myself hang upside down to get that puppy,” commented another.
As another added: “Imagine the poor puppy’s thoughts when he first fell over.”
The employee who rescued the puppy also received a lot of praise, many of which said she was an “effective problem solver.”
In images posted on TikTok, she can be seen grabbing a crutch and then reaching out in an attempt to hook the dog’s harness before pulling him to safety in what appears to be effortless work.
“I hope if you ever do an interview and ask about a time you solved a problem, you use this,” one commented.
“She’s definitely a good problem solver,” agreed another.
Someone else said, “Can we talk about the level of reach she had? Oh my gosh!”
However, many were confused about how the dog had fallen through the hole in the first place, asking why he wasn’t on a leash.
“People need to stop walking their dogs off-leash on the street,” wrote one.
“Thank goodness the dog was wearing a jacket,” said another person.
However, most people said the viral clips, which have amassed more than 10 million views combined, were a “sign” that they needed to buy a designer item.
“It’s like the expensive version of hooking a duck,” one joked. “They need to change the name to woof woof now,” laughed another.
