As Republicans are expected to regain control of the House next Congress, they are set to make an intensified opposition to China.

The investigation will focus on the virus’s origins and any connections to China’s political system. Although specifics for this select committee are not yet known, they might come soon.
The information was revealed at the same time that Chairman Adam Schiff said in another statement on Thursday that the intelligence services initially failed to devote adequate resources to tracing the roots of the pandemic outbreak.
This is the first congressional probe into Chinese issues since the late 1990s, headed by Rep. Mike Gallagher.
McCarthy also declared in his blog post that he intended to lead initiatives to make sure that the United States maintains an advantage over China in economic and technological competitiveness.
He suggests forming a panel to provide suggestions about business alliances, supply chain security measures, and intellectual property regulations.
Republican lawmakers are also on the offensive to bring the Biden family’s shady business ties to China to light.
“The House Oversight Committee has expansive oversight authority under House rules,” a GOP Oversight Committee aide said. “Next Congress, Oversight Committee Republicans will continue their investigation into the Biden family’s suspicious business dealings, using the power of the gavel to get answers for the American people.”
GOP Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson warned recently that Biden is “highly compromised” given the president’s ties to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Indonesia.
“It’s obvious that President Biden is highly compromised because of Hunter Biden‘s money-influence peddling,” Johnson said. “The FBI has known about this probably going back to 2014, 2015, when you had prosecutions or investigations of Devon Archer, Hunter Biden‘s business partner. This corruption has been going back quite a few years. It needs to be fully exposed.”
Hunter is also currently under federal criminal investigation after banks flagged four of his transactions as “potential criminal activity,” including a suspicious deposit of $100,000 that came from China.
