Danish broadcaster DRTV released footage of a Ukrainian soldier in his military uniform wearing what appeared to be a logo patch of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization.
During a news report covering updates on Ukraine, the TV reporter caught a video of two Ukrainian servicemen putting on their military uniforms, one of whom was wearing the patch. \
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said the US defense is recruiting fighters to plan and execute terrorist attacks on Russian soil and in CIS countries (such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan).
“According to credible data received by the Russian foreign intelligence service, the US military is actively recruiting militants from Daesh* and Al-Qaeda* affiliated jihadist groups to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia and CIS countries. Particular attention is paid to attracting people from the Russian North Caucasus and Central Asia to cooperation,” the SVR statement read.
The intelligence agency also said the US recruited 60 militants after receiving training at the Al-Tanf occupation base in Syria, with plans to send them to CIS countries, intending to attack senior diplomats and security officials.
“Washington’s strategists find it acceptable to use terrorists directly for their own dirty purposes. Such actions put Washington on a par with major international terrorist groups,” the statement concluded.
Militants ‘loyal’ to US terrorism. This is not the first time the SVR has uncovered the devious plans of the US doing the dirty work to get the job done.
According to SVR, ISIS members are being recruited by the US to act as mercenaries in Ukraine to “oppose sabotage against the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine”.
It added that “in April [2022], with the involvement of US intelligence services, approximately 60 Islamic State fighters aged between 20 and 25 were released from prisons controlled by the Syrian Kurds and are undergoing training in combat”. transferred to Ukrainian territory.
The SVR also said the US Al-Tanf base in Syria had been turned into a terrorist “hub”, where US loyalist militants were being trained for transfer to Ukraine.

Russia’s presidential envoy to Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov confirmed last January that there is evidence that the United States is trying to build ties with the current Afghan authorities by covertly sponsoring Daesh (ISIS).
“Yes, there are such data, they [the US authorities] are doing it not for the better, but for the worse, because they really want to avenge their shameful military-political defeat in Afghanistan and, in retaliation, do everything possible so that peace it is not based in this suffering land, but even worse is that, in addition to contacts with the armed opposition in Afghanistan, the Anglo-Saxons secretly sponsor Daesh,” Kabulov said later.
In March 2022, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Bashar Al-Jaafari told Sputnik that there is a possibility of US special services sending ISIS members and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Al-Nusra Front in Nusra) militants to Ukraine.
“Based on the analysis, we can say that this is most likely true. As a state, we have evidence that the US military in Syria is transferring terrorists from one place to another, especially members of IS and Jabhat al-Nusra [a terrorist group banned in Russia],” Al-Jaafari said at the time.
The Syrian official said the United States had previously deployed terrorists from Syria to Afghanistan and Burkina Faso and that Washington’s use of mercenaries is an established practice.
