A company called Amazon said it would put more than a billion dollars into its business in France. This would create 3,000 jobs.
A lot of companies, like Amazon, Accenture, and GSK, were going to make billion-dollar investments, according to the French president. The “Choose France” event, which starts next week, will cover all of these things.
The investment from Amazon Web Services would help to improve Paris’s cloud infrastructure and open up more AI chances in France. As creative AI has become more popular, so has the need for cloud services. There are now a lot of AI startups in France, like Poolside and Mistral. This has made France a new AI hub. On top of that, both Meta and Google have set up AI study centers in France.
Amazon has been putting more than twenty billion euros into its French business for more than ten years, creating more than twenty thousand jobs in the process. Adding this to the French market would also help to improve transportation, which would speed up delivery and lower carbon emissions. It is now true that Amazon has more than 35 shipping centers in France. With these extra billions, this could grow even more, giving the already booming Amazon market in France even more chances to make money.
“These jobs are on top of the 2,000 jobs we announced for 2024,” said Frédéric Duval, country manager at Amazon France.
This is another step for tech companies and brands to take to grow to other parts of the world. This will help them improve their logistics and networking so that all of their operations are more productive.
