AOC Caught Committing Serious Campaign Finance Misdeeds

AOC is accused of committing serious campaign finance misdeeds and allegedly used the funds for personal purposes after she failed to disclose some of her campaign expenses.

According to the New York Post’s report, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s PACs failed to disclose $1 million in disbursements to AOC’s former Chief of Staff.

“The NLPC complaint alleged that AOC campaign treasurer Frank Llewellyn and Sakrabarti, among others, funneled more than $1 million in political donations into two companies controlled by former Chief of Staff Sakrabarti.” The report read.

However, in the filings published this weekend, it was revealed that the Federal Election Commission voted to give her a pass.

The FEC also dismissed the complaint without giving a reason.

Following FEC’s decision, the NLPC fired back, arguing that “it was highly irregular for the FEC to release its statement of reasons after the deadline for us to file suit.”

“The FEC has gone after a whole host of people whose violations are dwarfed by the scale of this scheme. It appears to be not prosecutorial discretion, but prosecutorial favoritism.” The NLPC added.

Moreover, in response to the Federal Election Commission’s decision, the NLPC filed another lawsuit against the organization for “failing to provide a reason for dismissing its complaint.”

Critics blasted the FEC for its unfair treatment, alleging the organization of bending the rules and having favoritism.

They compared the commission’s treatment towards AOC and Dinesh D’Souza who pleaded guilty in 2014 and was sentenced to five years probation, eight months in a minimum security jail, and paid a $30,000 fine for donating $20,000 to New York politician Wendy Long, who was his college friend.
