AZ Woman Pleads Guilty To Voter Fraud After Forging Dead Mom’s Signature

An Arizona woman pleaded guilty for voter fraud during the 2020 election by forging her dead mother’s signature to vote, according to the authorities. 

The woman, Tracey Kay McKee, 64, confessed that she filled out a ballot using her deceased mother’s identity, Mary Arendt, who died on October 5, 2020 after being accused of forging her mother’s signature on the ballot that was sent through mail, based on FOX 10 of Phoenix report. 

“Appearing before Judge Margaret LaBianca in Maricopa County Superior Court on January 26, 2022, McKee admitted signing Mary Arendt’s name to an early ballot envelope and mailing it to Maricopa County on or between October 7, 2020, and November 3, 2020,” Attorney General Mark Brnovich of Arizona stated in the report. 

McKee will be sentenced to probation with a factor of potentially serving 90 days maximum in jail. She will also pay a total of $1,800 of fines and fees along with 100 hours of community service.

The hearing of McKee’s sentencing is on March 2. Her legibility for voting will also be stripped off after the sentence hearing and can only be restored by the court.
