During an interview on Thursday’s “NBC Nightly News”, President Biden snapped back at NBC reporter Lester Holt after the reporter pressed the president about the country’s rising inflation rate.
Holt asked Biden to elaborate on his previous comments about the current inflation being “temporary”.
“Back in July, you said inflation was going to be temporary. I think a lot of Americans are wondering what your definition of temporary is,” Holt recalled to the president.
Biden said back in July that “no serious economist” believed “unchecked inflation” was “on the way,” adding that his experts think that the price increases are expected to be only “temporary.”
SNARKY AGAIN: Biden blasts ‘wise guy’ reporter after question about inflation hits a nerve https://t.co/4F69nYzyMM

Responding to Holt’s question, the president gave a snarky retort: “”Well, you’re being a wise guy with me a little bit, and I understand that’s your job.” He then went ahead to put the blame on the supply chain crisis.
“The reason for the inflation is the supply chains were cut off meaning that products, for example, automobiles, the lack of computer chips to be able to build those automobiles so they could function… they need those computer chips.”
This is not the first time President Biden lashed out to a reporter, who recently called Fox News reporter Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b****” last January when the president was also asked about inflation.
Additionally, Biden appeared to have been provoked by CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins after getting questioned on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Why are you so confident [Putin] will change his behavior, Mr. President?” asked Collins.
“I am not confident he will change his behavior. Where the hell… what do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident? I said, what I said was — let’s get it straight — I said what will change their behavior is if the rest of the world reacts to them and it diminishes their standing in the world. I am not confident of anything. I am just stating the facts,” Biden responded.
Biden also reacted similarly when the president raised his voice at RealClearNews reporter Philip Wegmann when pressed about divisiveness.
Weggman asked, “You campaigned, and you ran on a return to civility. And I know that you dispute the characterization that you called folks who would oppose those voting bills as being Bull Connor or George Wallace. But you said that there would be sort of in the same camp?”
“No, I didn’t say that. Look what I said. Go back and read what I said and tell me if you think I called anyone who voted on the side of the position taken by Bull Connor that they were Bull Connor? And that is an interesting reading of English. Yeah, I assume you got it in the journals because you like to write,” answered Biden sarcastically.
