Biden’s DHS Allows 60k Migrants into the U.S. Each Month

The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reportedly releasing more than 60,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S. every month.

According to federal investigators, the DHS has released more than a million border crossers into American cities and towns between March 2021 and August 2022.

During that same time period, more than 318,000 border crossers were freed under Parole + ATD, and another nearly 95,000 were freed by prosecutorial discretion.

The figure indicates that the department was releasing more than 60,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S. interior every 30 days. For comparison, the country would be adding a foreign population the size of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, each month.

“On average, DHS releases more than 60,000 migrants into the United States each month. ICE must be able to locate migrants to enforce immigration laws,  including to arrest or remove individuals who are considered potential threats  to national security,” the report read.

“The notable percentage of missing, invalid, or duplicate addresses on file means DHS may not be able to locate migrants following their release into the United States. As the Department continues to apprehend and release tens of thousands of migrants each month, valid post-release addresses are essential.”

Republican Wisconsin Rep. Ron Johnson estimates that President Joe Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have welcomed five million border crossers and illegal immigrants to the country since early January 2021.

Additionally, DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari also went into details on how Mayorkas is losing track of the southern border crisis.

Cuffari noted in his report that the border secretary is releasing illegal immigrants into the U.S. interior: Notices to Appear (NTAs), prosecutorial discretion, and Parole + ATD, which stands for Alternatives to Detention.

The U.S. has been seeing massive migrant numbers since Biden lifted “Title 42” earlier this year, a controversial border policy implemented by former President Donald Trump back in March 2020 that allowed the border agency to turn migrants away.

Since then, nearly 2.4 million migrants were detained at the border for the fiscal year ending in September, surpassing the already-historic number of 1.7 million migrant detainees in 2021. The numbers are likely to increase now that “Title 42” has been lifted.
