BLM Called Out For Receiving Millions – Not Helping Black Americans

Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors called out Democrats and President Joe Biden for distancing themselves from the defund the police movement.

During an interview, Cullors claimed that BLM helped Biden win the presidency because he was able to campaign on police reform, adding that the president’s comments to “fund the police” were a “direct affront” to the movement.

“[His comments were a] direct affront to the movement that called for resources out of policing and into social services,” she said. “Our elected officials have decided to abandon a movement that could have saved the lives of the people who have died.”

This comes as Cullors is facing scrutiny for allegedly misusing millions of dollars in donations to spend on multi-million dollar properties. She has refuted the claims, claiming that her income didn’t come from a firm salary but rather from other sources.

Greg Gutfeld of Fox News said that the BLM movement should be renamed “BLDM – Black Lives Don’t Matter” after he highlighted on “The Five” on Monday how it “took millions and millions of dollars from people and offered nothing in return.”

“I think most of the money came from gullible White liberals, not Blacks. I think hardworking Blacks would never give their money to an organization this loose and this weird,” Gutfeld said. “I think it was never really about helping Black people.”

“It was about – and this is brilliant, I wish I thought of this – It was about monetizing White liberal virtue signaling. It’s a smart business model, and they just took that money,” he added.

This isn’t the first time that BLM has exhibited a typical lack of morals and enjoyed lives of luxury at the expense of the general public. Cullors, who resigned from the organization in May 2021, went on a real estate buying spree in the same year.

The Post revealed in 2021 that the BLM co-founder bought a California mansion using donation money in October 2020. It was bought from a real estate developer who worked for Cullors and her wife, paying him $5.8 million.

Following the scandalous report, California Representative Darrell Issa urged the Department of Justice (DOJ) to launch an investigation.

“The disturbing information that we are learning is more than enough to warrant an investigation from the DOJ — and doubtless not the end of all there is to know,” Issa said. “This definitely has the suggestion of misappropriation of charitable funds and an abuse of our nonprofit laws.”
