Following his speech at an event on infrastructure that was held from a fake White House, President Joe Biden was questioned by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy about his domestic priorities. He said that he was most concerned about inflation or abortion. Biden strongly reacted and criticized Doocy’s question. Biden said that all concerns were important but that there was not one.
As journalists left the White House event on Monday, a reporter asked the president if he believed inflation was a political liability.
Biden replied: “No, that’s a great asset – more inflation. Biden is a dumb son of a bitch.
Doocy’s question comes just two days after President Biden addressed a pro-abortion gathering, where he promised to introduce legislation beyond Roe v. Wade codification if Democrats keep the House and Senate.
DOOCY: “Just hoping to clarify for midterm voters. Top domestic issue, inflation or abortion?”

This comment was made at the conclusion of a White House Competition Council meeting in which officials gave an update on inflation efforts. Doocy, who was asking questions about the Ukraine crisis, said that he only wanted questions to do with the topic of the council. While the White House stated this month that inflation would be temporary, some Democrats are concerned about long-term political consequences.
Biden’s comment quickly became viral on social media. Some pointed out that Biden had just days before said, “What a stupid question,” to answer a Fox News reporter’s question regarding Russia. Doocy joked about the insult on Fox News shortly after, saying that “Nobody has fact-checked” him.
After snapping at one reporter’s questions last year, Biden made an apology to CNN. After signing healthcare legislation, Biden was caught on camera telling Barack Obama that “This is an enormous fucking deal!”
Despite Monday’s gaffe Biden’s first full year as president has been a marked improvement on the turbulent four years under Donald Trump who called the media the “enemy of America”. Biden described journalists as essential to democracy, but press access has been restricted. He held less than 10 formal news conferences in his first year than Trump and Obama. However, his press conference last week was more extensive than any of his predecessors.
