A fight erupted at Walt Disney World on Monday after one family requested another family to move aside so that they could snap a picture in front of the park’s 100th anniversary sign.
The unsettling video recorded by a bystander inside the park shows a group of people punching each other and one man falling to the ground in front of the sign as Disney staff members ask for assistance.
In the footage, it could be heard that someone was asking how the fight broke out. as they just happened to be walking right here when they saw the incident happen. Another individual also replied that they had no idea how it started.
The man who was on the ground had difficulty getting up, so he chose to stay seated, as shown in the video, which also captures the families shouting and attacking one another before the park employees and a security officer arrived to break them up.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated that at least one individual was treated for injuries following the brawl, however, they decided not to file any charges.
According to the police, the altercation started at 2:30 in the afternoon, when a member of the family who was requested to move punched the other family member in the face.
The queries were not immediately answered by Walt Disney World Resort.
It seems like there is so much happening to the so-called “happiest place on Earth”, and fights breaking out at the Magic Kingdom are not that unusual.
Following an increase in violence, Disney issued a warning towards the end of 2022 against disorderly conduct at its theme parks in Florida and California.
Families got into a furious debate outside Mickey’s PhilharMagic theater last July, which led to a large fight that involved at least 10 people.
The event led to two arrests and the prohibition of numerous individuals from Disney parks.
Furthermore, visitors to EPCOT’s World Showcase were also captured on camera fighting and collapsing in the fountains in April.
Because of this, Disney wrote on their website, emphasizing that guests “must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness, and compassion.”
They also continued saying that “Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.”
