CNN Poll: Vast Majority Disapprove Of Biden’s Economy

New poll once again shows that a vast majority disapprove of President Joe Biden’s economy ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

According to the survey conducted by left-leaning CNN, 67 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s performance to “improve” the economy.

“They’re [White House] trying so hard with Bidenomics,” CNN’s Dana Bash noted. “[They are] spending a lot of money on it to press the point that the economy is getting better — and voters aren’t buying it. It’s like, you have, they’re trying to tell people how to feel, and it doesn’t always work.”

Democrats have also turned their backs on the president by abandoning the economic catchphrase “Bidenomics” in recent weeks because it is reportedly an “ineffective” and “tone-deaf” messaging vehicle to hype Biden’s economy [emphasis added].

1,795 respondents participated in the survey. It was conducted between November 1 and 30 and has a 3.2-point margin of error.

This comes as Biden is in danger of losing the 2024 presidential election following dissatisfaction from the public. Biden’s favorability among the American people has sharply declined since February 2021, just days after his inauguration in January of the same year, when it stood at 53 percent.

According to a separate survey conducted by Gallup late last month, support among Democratic voters has also slid by 11 points since September. Only 75 percent of Democrats support the president, compared to last month’s 86 percent.

The annual survey from the Reagan National Defense Survey also shows that only 36 percent of Americans said they had either a “great deal” or “some” confidence in Biden’s performance as president, while 17 percent said they had “a little,” and 47 percent said “not much at all.”

The numbers, which count the population’s confidence in the U.S. presidency, have been declining since the poll was initially conducted in November 2018—during the Trump administration—and 44 percent of respondents said that they had “great deal” or “some” trust in the presidency. Since then, the number of those who have absolutely no confidence has remained constant.

The poll also found that just 38 percent held a favorable view of Biden and 59 percent held an unfavorable view. Former President Donald Trump fared significantly better, with a 47 percent favorable rating and a 50 percent unfavorable rating.
