Many people consider cancer to be their worst enemy. According to the World Health Organization, it is the second biggest cause of mortality today.
In a press conference on April 29, 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that his wife, Casey DeSantis, had been diagnosed with cancer.
Over the past several months, everyone who has prayed for her and her family has been greatly appreciated. “I can tell you that it was not easy for anyone to go through at the end of the day, but I can tell you the prognosis couldn’t be better, and I look forward to her being out and about more than ever.”
Trust in God. Thank you for all the prayers 🙏

The good news regarding Casey DeSantis’ health was also tweeted out by the Team DeSantis account, which stated:
In the end, it was all worth it for the First Lady of Florida.
He made a positive statement that Casey had been cancer-free in March of 2022; at that time, he said:
“I’m Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida. I’m happy to report that Casey DeSantis is doing well. She has been declared cancer-free following a course of chemotherapy and surgery to remove her breast cancer. Thank you to all who have sent their thoughts and prayers to my family and my wife. It’s made a huge impact and elevated her spirits tremendously.”
“All the women now battling breast cancer know that you can get through this. As tough as it is, my wife is a resounding endorsement, and this is exactly the kind of news we were hoping for. There is still a lot of work, but I am optimistic she will recover completely. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.”
In October of 2021, Governor DeSantis stated that his wife had been diagnosed with cancer, noting at the time:
In her role as First Lady, Casey has impacted the lives of many Floridians. As the mother of three small children, she is the core of our family.”
We’re all pulling for her, and she’s not alone. Our entire family is praying for her, and Floridians around the state are sending their positive vibes her way. When it comes to fighting, Casey is a true champion. She will never, ever give up.”
The DeSantis family’s adventure is finally finished, and Casey’s response to radiation therapy was excellent!
Cancer does not distinguish when it comes to who it infects. There is no such thing as a simple struggle when it comes to cancer. Things get a little lighter every day when you’re waving through difficulties with confidence and support. Do not let cancer takeover with something you are totally in control of.
