Google is bringing its large language models to Android

Google has been very clear that it wants to make AI models that are smarter and more complex

Google just put out a new AI that might be able to fight with OpenAI. Gemini is the name of the AI, which is a big language model that will be put into gadgets next year. Google’s Gemini Nano is already available. It’s an AI system that runs on Pixel and Android phones.

As Vice President of product management for Google’s Pixel Unit, Brian Rakowsko said that he thinks their language models will start to show up in smartphones this year. This would give a lot of people access to a brand-new technology.

There are cloud-based copies of our Gemini model that are smaller. “Quite a few big steps forward have been made to shrink these models so that they can run on the device,” he said.

“Some have already been proven, and some are being looked into for possible uses,” he said. It would be great if the device had all the types. It can still be used in amazing ways.

Smartphone makers believe that putting these AI models out there will help the cause of a “supercycle.” Companies that make things and make tech are moving forward even though sales are down.

Because new technology is now available on phones, companies that make smartphones are hoping that people will get rid of their old phones and buy new ones. A lot of people, though, don’t think this market boom will happen yet.

As of late, Google has been making progress on AI, and their final goal is to make AI technology unnecessary for many people.
