GOP Slam Biden’s Joint Press Conference With Ukraine – No More!

Conservative lawmakers and activists responded to President Biden’s joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday by saying the United States should stop sending money to the war-ravaged country.

During the press conference, Biden reiterated the United States’ commitment to assist Ukraine in its efforts to maintain its national sovereignty. However, some conservatives have argued that the US has already provided enough aid to the country and that limited US resources would be better used to help people at home.

Representative. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., a conservative Republican who challenged Rep. Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House, tweeted, “No more blank checks for Ukraine” ahead of the press conference.

“Zelensky says $45 billion in US aid is not enough. Not enough? What is enough? Enough of all of this,” Biggs continued.

“No more money for Ukraine! We can’t fight this war for you forever!” Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren tweeted.

Representative. Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie tweeted: “Why are Ukraine’s funds buried in the bill preventing the shutdown of our own government? Why were Ukraine’s previous funds tied to hurricane disaster relief? for Florida? Why is Zelensky speaking before Congress tonight? Because the Americans are very tired of funding this war.”

“Don’t blame Zelensky for showing up at the White House wearing a sweatshirt. Apparently, a member of the Biden administration stole his bags,” tweeted Jimmy Failla, host of ‘Fox Across America.’

Failla was referring to Sam Brinton. A former Biden official was recently arrested for stealing a suitcase at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

“It is absurd how our elected officials repeatedly subordinate our interests and the safety of our people to foreign leaders like Zelensky, who has made it abundantly clear that his goal is to have America’s sons and daughters fight and die in the war in Ukraine: Nuclear Armageddon be damned,” tweeted Dan Caldwell, vice president of foreign policy for the Stand Together group.

Zelenskyy made a direct appeal to Republicans who are hesitant to continue funding Ukraine, arguing that Ukraine’s independence is essential to global security.
