High School Football Players Rushed To Save Woman Involved In Car Crash

A group of high school football players in Georgia helped save a 50-year-old woman who was involved in a serious car crash, according to reports.

Rome High School football players Cesar Parker, Treyvon Adams, Antwiion Carey, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown, and Alto Moore were on their way to school on Friday when they witnessed the accident.

Smoke was seen from under the hood and fluid was pouring onto the intersection. The woman was unable to get out, as the door of the vehicle was jammed.

“We all knew we had to get her out before something worse would happen,” said Adams.

The athletes quickly jumped into action to help the woman to safety.

“They literally started using their strength to pry the door open, so the lady could be released. After a few seconds of pulling and pushing the door, the boys ended up opening it and helped her get out of the car. She was shaking and still in panic, but our RHS boys gave her comfort and were able to help her,” wrote math teacher Luis Goya in a Facebook post, who also witnessed the collision.

“The Rome High School football players really showed up today. They went above and beyond to help this lady without hesitation,” he continued.

According to Rome Police, the crash involved a small silver car that was hit after another car pulled out in front of it. The incident was captured on video by security cameras at the school.

The woman was immediately transported to a local hospital and reportedly had suffered cuts and bruises but is expected to be okay.

“Are they heroes? I bet they are to that woman and her family, to us, we’re just really proud of them,” said Coach John Reid.

The story received positive responses on social media, with many praising the high schoolers as heroes.

“Thank you, gentleman,” wrote one Twitter user. “It is an honor to know people still step up and put everything behind when they see a person in need. May God bless you and give you mercy and love as rewards for your acts of kindness and love.”

“These are the stories I love to see and hear! Heroes!” exclaimed another. “There are way more normal people in this world. We only hear the crazy stuff. I’d like more stories about normal people.”
