Iowa Bans Transgender Women From Competing On Female Sports Teams

The state of Iowa has officially banned Transgenders or biological males from competing in Female Sports.

In the official statement that Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds released after she had signed the bill into law during a ceremony in the state capital, she claimed that “this is a victory for girls sports in Iowa.”

Iowa is the 11th state to follow this movement which impacts transgender girls and women who are looking to compete from high school through to college.

“No amount of talent, training or effort can make up for the natural physical advantages males have over females. It’s simply a reality of human biology.” Reynolds added.

“Forcing females to compete against males is the opposite of inclusivity and it’s absolutely unfair,” she continued.

This came after NCAA and its athlete Lia Thomas, formerly Will Thomas became controversial and were slammed by the critics, arguing that Lia is possessing the obvious unfair advantage over her female competitors due to his transition through male puberty.

Moreover, Caitly Jenner, a former Olympic gold medal-winning also disagreed with the decision to allow Lia compete in women’s sports.

“I’ve said from the beginning, biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports. We need to protect women’s sports. It’s unfortunate that this is happening. I don’t know why she’s doing it,” Jenner said.

“She knows when she’s swimming she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born as a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger. Her respiratory system is bigger,” she added.
