Philadelphia Eagles fans directed the blame for the team’s loss during Super Bowl Sunday at First Lady Jill Biden.
Biden, a self-proclaimed Eagles fan, tweeted a video of her wearing an Eagles jersey emblazoned with “Biden” and the number 46, a nod to her husband’s place as the 46th president.

“We’re ready. #FlyEaglesFly,” her tweet captioned.
However, the Eagles ultimately lost against the Arizona Chiefs on a Harrison Butker field goal with eight seconds left on the clock.
Now Eagles fans are directing the blame toward Biden, saying that her attendance may have jinxed her team.
In November, the Houston Astros defeated the Phillies in game 6 of the World Series, a game in which Biden was also present. In spite of the Phillies having a 2-1 series lead, the Astros gained momentum after a no-hitter. The Astros were just the second team in World Series history to throw a no-hitter.
“And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout, but there is no joy in Philly—mighty DOCTOR Jill has struck again,” one Twitter user exclaimed.
“It’s utterly amazing how the Biden’s ruin literally everything,” tweeted another. “Just like Obama said, ‘Never underestimate the ability of Joe to F things up.’ It’s the entire family though!”
Eagles fans have always been merciless to the first lady. In October, she was greeted with boos as she took part in the coin toss prior to the matchup between the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
Biden was serving as the team’s honorary captain for the game and was also present to promote the Biden administration’s Cancer Moonshot initiative.
People started booing the first lady once they flashed her picture on the big screen. The jeering did not go unnoticed on social media.
“Philly just BOO’d Jill Biden BAD,” tweeted former Eagles tight end Clay Harbor.
“A stadium full of Eagles fans booed Jill Biden tonight, they must all be from the 5 surrounding counties,” wrote Steve Maltepes, a.k.a. The Philly Godfather.
She also led fans in a rendition of the Eagles’ fight song, “Fly Eagles Fly,” a portion of which was aired on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.” No booing could be heard during the broadcast.
