Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Munich over the weekend has left people uninspired amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in Europe.
Harris attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany in hopes of unifying NATO allies in the event Russia decides to invade Ukraine.

However, people are ripping on Harris for being “perpetually unprepared” after giving a nonsensical speech to the press showing little to no understanding of the issue.
“I mean, listen guys, we are talking about the potential for war in Europe,” Harris said. “I mean, let’s really take a moment to understand the significance of what we’re talking about.”
Her speech was all over social media where users called her remarks a “word salad,” with Senator Ted Cruz expressing his frustration on Twitter.
“How seriously does the Biden admin take our national security? On the brink of a potential war in Europe, they used a security conference as a photo op for Kamala, and then leaked to the press that she was totally unqualified to be there,” Cruz tweeted.
The vice president was also fact-checked for saying that Europe has not experienced any wars in the past 70 years.
“This ignores Yugoslav Wars, as well as Russia’s attacks on Georgia [and] Ukraine. Also, Berlin Wall only came down three decades ago so I’d quibble with 70 years,” called out one user.
During Harris’ visit, she met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and promised that President Joe Biden would authorize economic sanctions that would deter Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, Harris previously said that Putin has already made a decision about whether to invade Ukraine, causing a contradiction between the two statements.
This has prompted a reporter to expose the vice president during the press conference before she returned to the U.S.
“If you believe Putin has made up his mind, what leverage do you really have? Why not put those sanctions in place now?” the reporter asked.
To which Harris responded, “The purpose of the sanctions has always been and continues to be deterrence.”
Harris did not give a concrete answer to the question and failed to address the contradiction between her claims.
Biden has always entrusted Harris to engage with foreign affairs, but her effectiveness on the world stage has been largely criticized by Republicans, especially after the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal last year.
