Arizona Republican Kari Lake officially launched her campaign for senator on Tuesday evening.
Speaking in front of a crowded room of supporters, Lake vowed to dethrone the Democratic incumbent and expressed his support for former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
“I know you’re by my side as I formally launch my candidacy for the United States Senate,” she said to thunderous applause. “We are living in some dangerous times. The world is on fire. And every day Joe Biden wakes up and pours gasoline on it.”
“There is an absolute invasion in our country with millions of people pouring in, tons of deadly drugs pouring into this country, and now we’re seeing what that can mean and what’s transpired in Israel for the past few days. Absolutely barbaric attacks on innocents. Hamas is frankly enabled by Biden and Obama’s outrageous deals with Iran.”
“The only way to fix our problems is with America First policies. President Trump showed us how to do it. Remember four years ago we had $2 a gallon gas. The border was secure, inflation was non-existent, the economy worked for every American. We were thriving and then Joe Biden stumbles into the White House and he sent us on the kamikaze mission to total destruction,” Lake continued.
This comes as she continues her legal battle against local election authorities and Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs after losing the midterm elections last year. Lake claimed several irregularities in the 2022 gubernatorial election, including voting machine issues in 60 percent of the county’s 115 polling places.
Lake has also revealed that she was offered a bribe to refrain from participating in politics for two years. Speaking at CPAC 2023, she claimed that someone tried to bribe her out of politics just recently before she left for the annual event.
“Somebody showed up at my door this week,” Lake said at the time. “They called me before and said: I gotta talk to you in person, this can’t be done over the phone … They came to my door and they tried to bribe me out of getting out of politics. This really happened. I’m telling you this because this is how disgusting politics is. A mom who runs for office and they’re afraid of me? They tried to bribe me with a job title, with a huge salary, a position on a board.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” she concluded.
