Majority of Dems Don’t Want Biden In 2024

A new poll revealed that a majority of Democratic voters don’t want President Joe Biden to run again in 2024 as his popularity continues to plummet.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday, 54 percent of Democrats said Biden should not mount a re-election run, while only 40 percent said that he should.

Overall, a telling 71% of Americans oppose the commander-in-chief running for a second term.

Earlier this month, a survey from the New York Times/Siena College also found that only 26 percent of registered Democratic voters said that the party should renominate Biden.

The day after the Times/SC poll went out, the president lashed out at the press, insisting that the Dems “want me to run.”

“Read the poll. Read the polls, Jack. You guys are all the same. That poll showed that 92% of Democrats, if I ran, would vote for me,” Biden said.

But a member of the press retorted, “A majority of Democrats say they don’t want you to run again in 2024.”

“Ninety-two percent said if I did, they’d vote for me,” the president repeated before walking away.

Democrats are fearing that the infighting, along with the dissatisfaction with the president’s performance, could cost them their majority in Congress during the November 8 midterm elections.

Biden, who at 79 became the oldest individual ever elected to serve in the White House, is planning to run again in 2024.

“To be clear, as the President has said repeatedly, he plans to run in 2024,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tweeted last month.

This comes as the president’s approval ratings continue to shrink, with less than a third (31%) of Americans approving of the job he is doing, while 60% disapprove, according to the Q-survey.

Among Democrats, that margin is 71% who approve versus 18% who disapprove. Among Republicans, it’s 94% versus 2%.

Biden’s approval rating is in negative territory across all demographic groups, including Hispanics — with just one in five (19%) Hispanics approving of his ability to lead. Seven in 10 (70%) disapprove.

This indicates that an increasing number of Americans are losing trust in the president, including fellow party members who have left him behind as they lift the Biden administration’s abrasive health restrictions.
