Only Jimmy Carter, who is in hospice care, was not at the special event because he is not still alive. This event also made it clear that President Joe Biden needs all the help and support he can get.
As Democrats, Obama and Clinton have both been in the news a lot. When it comes to shows on TV, books, and campaign statements, Obama has been the party’s biggest star. Clinton was very helpful to the Democratic Party, but recent events have hurt his reputation and support.
“We’re going to see a lot more of President Obama during this election,” said Tara Setmayer, a senior assistant for the anti-Trump Lincoln Project. The people President Biden needs to help the most are black voters, young voters, and the Democratic party. He is the best person to stand in for them.
“Bill Clinton still has support in some parts of the Democratic establishment,” she said. “So they will use him where they think he’s best suited.” He wouldn’t have been on that stage if they didn’t think he was important.
Three presidents who used to be rivals are working together to get Biden a second term. Biden hopes he can do as well as both of these past presidents.
