A prominent registered Democrat does porn as a grunt for attention for his congressional campaign.
Mike Itkis, a registered Democrat running as a third-party candidate for a New York City House seat has reportedly released a 13-minute pornographic film to drum up attention, highlighting his sex-positive campaign platform.
“He posted the 13-minute video to a popular online porn site of him having sex with porn performer Nicole Sage as “a conversation piece,” City and State New York reported as per Itkis
The 52-year-old independent candidate who is also a cybersecurity expert is reportedly running far behind longtime Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler in Manhattan’s 12th Congressional District.
“If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue. And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.” Itkis said.
Itkis also claimed that the the video “Bucket List Bonanza” in 2021 was his first time having sex on camera. He also insisted that he’s not an exhibitionist.
“I’m very much an introvert. I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important… I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way,” the “very liberal” registered Democrat said.
According to the reports, one of Itkis’ sex-positive goals is to legalize sex work and protect the sexual rights of the people.
“DO NOT rely on privacy or free speech rights,” his campaign site reads.
Itkis, who identified himself as an Atheist, also revealed that he has no wife and kids. He also blasted the concept of child support payments and claimed that “men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement.”
Itkis is not the first politician who made a sex-positive video to make a political point.
In 2019, Democrat Brittany Ramos, who ran in the Eleventh District primary, performed as a stripper.
City Council candidate Zack Weiner also reportedly leaked a BDSM sex tape in an apparent attempt to stir up drama for his mockumentary on the run.
Meanwhile, in response to the movement, Zumbluskas, the Republican nominee, said that he understood Itkis’ decision to star in a porno.
“You gotta do what you gotta do. The media ignores everybody that’s not a Democrat in the city,” he said.
