Pelosi Claims Trump Lacks Courage in New Interview

It is no secret that Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker, and former President Trump used to be enemies. Pelosi was a staunch opponent of Trump’s agenda during his time at the White House. This led to a government shutdown at least once.

Over the years, the House Speaker has taken shots at the former president in public. This has not changed with Trump out of office.

Pelosi doesn’t often gush about Joe Biden’s accomplishments as president. She will occasionally weigh in on Trump’s views, especially when she is asked.

Pelosi stated that Trump was unable to visit Capitol Hill because January 6th rioters attempted to break into the building.

The latest from Pelosi on Trump
The House Speaker spoke with MSNBC about leaked footage in which she threatened to punch the former President in the face if the latter attempted to enter the Capitol on January 6.

Pelosi was asked if Trump would do this and she replied that Trump is just talking and wouldn’t be brave enough to go to the Capitol.

Later, the House Speaker stated that Americans should not be complacent about GOP members posing threats to the country’s democracy.

Pelosi’s threat to ex-president punch out was criticized by many Republicans, but Democrats cheered it on.

Pelosi’s Other Commentary
The House Speaker continues to offer her views on what she believes will happen next month as the midterm elections wind down.

According to Pelosi’s own account, she believes that Democrats will keep the House of Representatives, and win the midterms.

Polling suggests that Democrats are more likely to lose both the House and possibly the Senate. The Democrats have lost ground in House races that were historically favorable to them.

Even in Senate races, the Democratic candidate who held leads is losing them or trailing Republican candidates.

It’s fair to assume that Pelosi, even if she believed her party would lose the midterms in the end, won’t announce it before the nation.

Pelosi’s reign as Speaker of the House will be officially ended if and when Republicans win in the House of Representatives. Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader, is currently Pelosi’s most likely successor to this position.
