People are scared about Trump’s relationship with Putin?!

Many government officials are worried about Donald Trump’s friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and how it’s growing. This is especially true with the election coming up.

A lot of people in power are afraid that if Donald Trump gets another term, it will be good for Moscow and Russia but bad for American democracy. More and more people are worried since Trump publicly backed Putin by calling him a “genius” when he invaded Ukraine. He also said he would “end the war in a day,” which made a lot of people think he was going to cut off aid to Kyiv to help Russia win.

Trump didn’t say anything bad about Navalny’s sudden death or Putin’s possible role in it. Instead, he compared it to the criminal charges he is facing. Trump wrote in a post, “Alexei Navalny’s sudden death has made me more and more aware of what is going on in our country.”

And even when Trump was President of the United States, there were interesting times when the two met, like when they were in the Oval Office together. A Mueller probe also found that it was likely that Russia meddled in Trump’s 2016 election.

One person who spoke out against Trump saying that he thinks Putin is a “strongman” and looks up to him is Fiona Hill, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a national security official in the first two years of Trump’s government. Hill said, “Trump is shockingly ignorant” about foreign affairs. He also said, “Trump rarely read materials he was given before meetings.” Trump is more of a threat to the US than to Russia because of how he runs the country.

People and politicians have said that Trump’s way of thinking is selfish and that he will never put the needs of the people or the country ahead of his own.
