Democratic New York Rep. Dan Goldman was just humiliated by Townhall reporter Julio Rosas over the severity of the BLM riots.
During the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability’s hearing on Tuesday, Rosas, who covered the violent protests in major cities in 2020, testified in front of the committee.
Look at the disrespect Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) shows to @Julio_Rosas11 as a witness, somebody who was on the ground at violent protests from Charlottesville to Kenosha, and wouldn't even let him respond.

Goldman then accused Rosas of trying to “gaslight” the committee on violence instigated by liberals and claimed that Antifa does not exist.
“As if Antifa, which Mr. Rosas, apparently the expert now in organized expert activity, has overruled the FBI director who says, there’s a headline ‘Antifa is an ideology not an organization,’” the congressman said. “No, no, no, let’s not listen to the FBI Director, let’s listen to… I’m sorry, what’s your title? Senior writer at Townhall.”
The New York Democrat quoted FBI Director Christopher Wray’s statement in 2021 that Antifa was an ideology rather than a formal organization. Goldman, however, left out the fact that Antifa is organized at the regional level in his statement on Tuesday, but Wray has since clarified the record and acknowledged it.
He also did not give Rosas a chance to respond, though Republican Arizona Rep. Eli Crane eventually allowed the reporter to address Goldman’s remarks.
“It’s funny to be lectured by an heir to the Levi Strauss Corporation and that’s probably why he doesn’t consider property damage as a big of a deal because, not only does he have that, but he also has what some people would describe as an impossibly good stock portfolio,” Rosas said.
The heated exchange received wild responses on social media, with many clowning on Goldman and how out of touch he is with reality.
“Goldman is right.‘Let’s not listen to the #FBI.’ They’re known liars and it would be beneficial to the populace to keep them as irrelevant,” one Twitter user wrote.
“I do not understand why congressional democrats in the minority see witnesses as defendants in a criminal trial. The disrespect they show everyone at hearings who dare offer a different perspective is staggering. Makes me never want to testify again,” another user tweeted.
