Republican Sen. Ron Johnson blasted the mainstream media for its refusal to cover the Hunter Biden investigation.
During an interview with “Just the News, No Noise,” Johnson vented his frustration over the media’s minimal coverage of the first son’s federal probe and fumed at the Biden administration for stifling the investigation.

“It compromises our national security. President Biden never should have been elected,” he said of the Biden family’s alleged corruption. “But even more troubling is what this says about our federal law enforcement or intelligence agencies, the complicity and corruption of the media, covering all this up and orchestrating it all.”
“I also heard last week of mainstream media saying if this were any other ordinary American, there never would have been any charges against Hunter Biden, his tax offenses were so minimal… And we know from good reporting from from people like John Solomon and others, Hunter Biden probably hasn’t paid taxes on a whole lot of other under unreported income as well,” he continued.
The senator further called out the media for minimizing Hunter’s behavior, making it easy for the Bidens to cover up their scandal.
Johnson went on to emphasize how important it is to come forward with evidence of the alleged wrongdoing in order to hold the administration accountable. However, he did acknowledge that significant players in the administration had pushed tirelessly to undermine efforts to expose the Biden family.
“Well, you have to first expose it. Now, one thing I don’t think we’re paying enough attention to is an awful lot of this obstruction occurred under the Trump administration,” Johnson said. “And trust me President Trump wanted this information out, I’m sure he would have liked to have seen an honest investigation prosecution of Hunter Biden. But that just shows you how pervasive and extensive the deep state is.”
This comes after the Justice Department recently announced that it was ending its investigation into Hunter without bringing any charges and despite staggering evidence of his involvement in the Biden family’s shady business dealings.
Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, however, said that Hunter’s “sweetheart deal” will not stop and might even “enhance” the GOP’s probe of his business dealings.
