Democratic Governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs’ spokesperson reportedly resigned on Wednesday after a controversial post that she posted on Twitter this month.
According to the reports, the controversy arose after Hobbs’ spokeswoman, Josselyn Berry, posted a threatening image following the shooting at the Christian elementary school in Nashville.
In a report published by the Trending Politics, it was revealed that “The picture showed a woman holding a handgun from the 1980 film “Gloria,” with a caption that reads, “us when we see transphobes.”
The AZ Central states in its report that Berry’s post appeared shortly after Audrey Hale, the transgender shooter, murdered three nine-year-olds and three adults in a Christian elementary school.
Berry’s post sparked public outrage, with The Arizona Freedom Caucus, demanding her resignation, arguing that “calling for violence like this is un-American & never acceptable.”
Amid the controversy, Hobbs’ office confirmed Berry’s resignation on Wednesday.

According to CBS 5 News political editor Dennis Welch, Berry’s twitter account has since been made private and a complete statement is expected to be released soon.
The Trending Politics previously reported that “Audrey Hale, the Nashville shooter, was reportedly in conflict with her religious parents over her sexuality and gender identity. Hale, who went by the name Aiden and preferred he/him pronouns, identified as gay and transgender. However, her parents, Norma and Ronald, who are devout Christians and church coordinators, could not come to terms with her identity and did not allow her to dress as a man while in their home.”
Daily Mail before the shooting, Hale changed her outfit and dressed as a boy once she left her home.
“You only see what you want to see. Their religion does not allow them to accept homosexuality,” one source said.
The source also revealed to Daily Mail that “She was with Audrey at home but when she left the house she changed clothes. They did know about it, they just didn’t accept it.”
“She introduced herself about a year and a half ago as Audrey. I treated her like a female and she didn’t correct me. She seemed artistic, quiet, and well-mannered,” the source added.
