To retire in the U.S., you have to work until you’re old?!

Experts on retirement have talked about what it’s really like to retire in the United States and whether or not seniors can afford to stop working.

Teresa Ghilarducci is an expert on retirement and says that in the United States, retirement means working until old age. She said that the U.S. retirement system has broken down and that many Americans have to work into old age because they can’t live on Social Security and their savings.

Ghilarducci’s new book is called “Work, Retire, Repeat: The Uncertainty of Retirement in the New Economy.” In it, she talks about a “Grey New Deal,” which is basically her idea for a new plan for American social security and retirement. She said that records show that only 10% of seniors are retired and have enough money to live on.

A lot of Americans aged 59 and up don’t have any savings for retirement, so they have to work longer to make ends meet. They spoke out in favor of raising the retirement age because “people are living longer” and can work later in life. On the Republican side, some people have talked about making the age of retirement and getting Social Security 70.

He said, “We found that most people who are retired didn’t retire when they wanted to, but because they were forced out.”

“Even though we have this idea that people could just decide to work a little bit longer, it probably isn’t their choice,” she stated.

Teresa said that reading her book is the only way to really understand how the economy and social security (retirement) in the US have changed over the years. She said that many people don’t have enough money when they hit retirement age, so they quit their jobs and get lower-paying ones instead. This makes it harder for their retirement savings to grow and stay strong.

There is also a big difference between the working lives of rich and poor people. Rich Americans often get to start their retirement much earlier and for a longer period of time, while the average American may not get the same length of time off.
