Trump reveals what he would do to help immigrants if he were elected president

Donald Trump said that he wants to remove a huge number of people who are in the country illegally if he wins the election in November.

At a recent campaign event, Trump talked about his plan to remove people. He said that it would begin as soon as he became president. He said, “On the first day, we will start the biggest operation in American history to deport people living in the country.” So many foreigners were coming in, he said, that the American suburbs, cities, and towns were being “plundered, raped, killed, and destroyed.”

Trump’s plans are the biggest ones they’ve ever seen, according to people who know a lot about immigration.

“This time we need to believe what Trump says,” said David Leopold, who used to be head of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He’s going to remove a lot of people when he talks about it, whether it’s in boxcars, bus loads, planes, or something else.

Stephen Miller, who used to be Trump’s top White House policy adviser, said, “I want everyone to understand this is going to happen.” This will start right away if President Trump is back in the Oval Office in January.

Anyone who is not a member of the United States and is from a foreign enemy country can be sent back to that country by Trump under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. Some experts on immigrants say they’re afraid this could also include some U.S. citizens.

Leopold said a bad thing about Trump’s plan: “Trump will have his agents remove people and then ask questions later.” No matter what country they are from, if someone looks like they are not authorized to be there—for example, if they have brown or black skin or an accent—they could be included.
