Trump Says There Are “Enemies Within Our Country”

“It’s the people inside our country who are more dangerous than the people outside,” Donald Trump told a group of Christians

Trump gave his message in Nashville, Tennessee. It was put on by the National Religious Broadcasters board. They let Donald Trump talk to a group of Christians to get their support. In the last few years, Christians have become a big group of Trump supporters.

Trump said, “I really believe the biggest threat is from inside our country, not from outside.” It’s the people inside our country who are more dangerous than those outside.”

While Trump was running for office in 2016, Christians didn’t really like him (they voted for Ted Cruz instead). But now they do like him a lot and are fully behind him.

“In my first term, I fought for Christians harder than any president has ever done, and I will fight even harder for Christians with four more years in the White House,” Trump said. Trump also talked about making a task group to look into “discrimination, harassment, and persecution against Christians in America” in order to fight “anti-Christian bias.”

He said he would choose judges who are more conservative and that the US Embassy in Israel would be moved to Jerusalem.

And so, some people are scared about what Trump will do if he wins this year’s election. They are scared about how he will treat immigrants, get back at people who have wronged him politically, and take away legal rights for LGBTQ+ people and minorities.
