Trump’s Big Plan To Indemnify All Police Officers

Trump has not given up his plans for the Presidency as he continues to give speeches and share his ideas with the world. In the latest speech by Trump, he said that he would “indemnify all police officers.”

With the effects of the George Floyd murder still being felt, people have brought up the concern of police utilizing their power for harm, to which many agreed. There was also the recent case of Tyre Nichols a black man that was beaten by Memphis police resulting in his death three days later. Events like these are exactly why people are looking for justice to be served and regulations to be set on what police officers can do.

However, Trump is looking to fight this ideology with his new pitch. In his recent rally in New Hampshire, he promised to “restore law and order” by “indemnifying all police officers.”

“I am also going to indemnify our police officers. This is a big thing, and it’s a brand new thing, and I think it’s so important. I’m going to indemnify, through the federal government, all police officers and law enforcement officials throughout the United States from being destroyed by the radical left for taking strong actions against crime.”

Trump has big ideas here and says that any police officer who took “strong actions” would not have to reap any consequences or worry about legal action being taken.

When it comes to Trump’s speech, it seems like there wasn’t much leverage for him to work with, as this statement was pretty close to being just a statement. He doesn’t give any background on how this will be done, how much it will cost, what kind of “strong actions” he’s referring to, or any other crucial details.

However, his speech comes not long after the Tyre Nichols case and it seems that Trump’s ideas are not exactly the most constructive ideas or the most effective when it comes to people’s concerns about police brutality and crime.
