At Boston’s Logan International Airport on Thursday morning, two JetBlue planes crashed while they were on the ground.
When the left winglet of Flight 777 hit the right horizontal stabilizer of Flight 551, the two planes collided. Around 6:40 a.m. on Thursday, this accident happened. It was not serious, and authorities responded quickly. That no one on either flight was hurt was what was said. One person said he was going to work at a Super Bowl event in Las Vegas on one of the flights, and another said he was going to Orlando, Florida the other way.
Casey Cunningham wrote on X, “A big morning for us passengers, but we’re so thankful for the JetBlue crew who patiently answered our questions and kept us up to date the whole time.”
His words went on, “They are quickly getting a new plane for the people going to Orlando.” Both planes are said to be out of service for a while while they are fixed up after it happened. Also, people who were going to Orlando worked on getting a new plane so that their original flight could go back on.
“A JetBlue aircraft entering a de-icing pad lane at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) came into contact with another JetBlue aircraft on an adjacent de-icing pad lane, causing damage to one aircraft’s winglet and the other aircraft’s tail section,” an announcement stated.
Actually, this isn’t the first time something bad has happened at Logan International. In March, the wings of two planes going to Newark and Denver collided.
